A Night at the Gallery

At Haven Hotel Rotterdam, we believe a hotel should be more than just a place to spend the night—it should be an experience that reflects the spirit of the city. Here, culture, creativity, and hospitality come together to create something truly unique.

In collaboration with leading cultural institutions such as Kunsthal Rotterdam and the Maritime Museum Rotterdam, and featuring works by talented Rotterdam-based artists, Haven Hotel Rotterdam is evolving into a living gallery in the heart of the historic Maritime District.

Our collection is dynamic, with exhibitions changing every four to five months. Both hotel guests and visitors are invited to explore these works, offering a rare opportunity to experience Rotterdam’s vibrant art scene in an intimate, welcoming environment—beyond the walls of a traditional museum.

On Display

Displayed in the hotel lobby at two contemporary paintings by Miel Krutzmann. The two works, ‘Empty Bags’ (2022) and ‘Cocoon’ (2024), are oil on linen canvas.

Along with Telmo Pieper, they make up the dynamic duo TelmoMiel whose work is recognizable by a playful, detailed style with strong roots in Rotterdam. Have you seen their murals around the city?

Rotterdam-based visual artist Melissa Moria works from a process-oriented practice rooted in material research. Flowers regularly recur in her work not as a decorative element, but as carriers of time, transience and attention. Through layering, repetition and natural materials, Moria makes traces of work and touch visible: flowers as a presence that unfolds gradually, vulnerable and changeable.

Erwin Zimmerman and Michael (Mike) Engelaan, the driving forces behind Demonfuzz Records on the Nieuwe Binnenweg, are creating a special album artwork. Inspired by the Kunsthal exhibition Flowers Forever, they create an idiosyncratic collage of album covers and floral images that makes the connection between music, visual art and the city.
